I did this Duathlon once as the water and waves are often too whippy but the scenery and setting of Wasaga Beach is awesome! The finish line is right there among all the action, bars, restaurants, surf and sand!

The Wasaga Race was well organized and a lot of fun – we had to do the swim in the the river due to too much chop in the lake…it was FREEZING but all in all, a great experience. I look forward to doing this race again.

Have done this as a relay twice with my wife.
the water is extremely shallow so practice your dolphin dives.
The bike course is very fast with only a few bumps.
Make sure your have tinted goggles b/c the sun is very bright on the way back to shore.
