This race is amazing and very well organized. It allows you to see Pensacola the way it was meant to be. I have run it 5 years in a row since the military moved me to Pensacola. I will continue to run this race because its gets better year after year.
Yes, I would recommend this race to a friend.
Yes, I would consider attending this race/event next year.

This was my 2nd year doing the race. It is a great event in an incredibly hospitable and friendly city (town). The race is beautiful and pretty challenging. I am a slower, middle age, runner who did it in 1:33 in 2011, and 1:39 in 2012, even though I am in much better shape this year. 2011 was about 40 degrees and light drizzle. 2012 was about 70 degrees and 15 mph headwinds. I never thought I’d whine about warmth and wind. LOL. The breeze was nice but it would take your hat off at the wrong angle and it really slowed me down. When I saw that some of the top finishers were 3 and 4 minutes slower than last year I felt better. This is a 10 out of 10 event for me. Pensacola has great food and nice people. The after party is top notch even if the beer lines are always a bit slow. (3 free beers with your race bib so maybe complaining about free beer is wrong.) The pre-race expo gives away beer and compression arm sleeves and various other samples. I bought Asics run tights last year, and my buddy bought shoes and a race belt this year. I’ll be back for as long as I can do it. : )
Yes, I would recommend this race to a friend.

This is one of Florida’s best races, and like many USA races beer makes everything go better! I did this race years ago, injured but I had to run it!
