I ran the marathon this year and the half in 2010. This marathon is well run with a lot of focus on the athletes.

It offers you a great experience

I went to this race way back before it changed ownership, It seems like it’s a much better organized run so I would consider attending again.

I ran this race in 2010 and despite my horrible performance (and some pouring rain), really enjoyed my entire race weekend experience. I was quite curious about Pittsburgh, reading about it being one of those “livable” cities, and I was thoroughly impressed. Overall, the race course snaked it’s way through nice neighbourhoods (with a few minor exceptions), and the bridges were fun to traverse.

The race was pretty well organized, with my only complaint being the crowded finish area, but maybe they’ve fixed that since the 2010 race. Give it a shot – close to Toronto, and a positive experience.

Yes, I would recommend this race to a friend.
