The great thing about this race is you run it at your own pace. Some people walked it. You get to enjoy the beautiful weather, beach, and friendship at your pace. The obstacles were not hard, and if you didn’t want to do one or more, you could walk around it. Would definitely do this again!

I was under the assumption that if you didn’t do one or more of the obstacles your time didn’t count…. This was my first one ever, and I walked as I am older but I did every obstacle, and my time if true…. I did not cheat or go around any of the obstacles.

AWESOME EVENT!!!!! Very challenging in the sand and with a few of the obstacles, but everyone was so friendly and supportive. The drinks, cornhole, dancing, etc. was a blast afterwards too.

Overall it was a fun race. Would have liked more obstacles and would have liked them better spaced. The first obstacle did not appear until a little ways after the halfway point. Also, next time this race is brought to this location, parking needs to be better addressed because there must have been a breakdown in communication between either the Beach Palooza people or the resort and the people who control the lot where we were instructed to park. That was a big mess.
Also… Mike’s Hard Lemonade can hardly be considered “beer”…
This was my first event ever… I really enjoyed it…. I would also like to address the parking issue.. The parking was horrible. If you didn’t get there super early you had to park over a mile away. This was so confusing, and nerve wracking.
Over all I did all the obstacles and ran/walked at my own pace… I had a blast. Would do it again next year…. The first obstacle was the worst, as I was completely worn out after all nine of the walls…. But, I finished each and every one of them with the help of my husband. :0) The other obstacles were not hard at all.
I enjoyed it very much, and would do it again next year.
