Quebec & Maritimes
It started the night before for the Hamilton Harriers. There was a knock on the door of the hotel rooms in downtown Halifax. We were asked to make sure that the windows were shut and secured as a storm was expected. Waking for the anticipated 9am start, we could hear the weather. The drapes were opened to reveal pelting rain and strong winds attempting to uproot the evergreens outside of our window. The brave (run in anything except thunderstorms) guy that I am. Pushed open the door and stepped onto the balcony facing Halifax Harbour. The door slammed shut behind me. I was immediately soaked through by the monsoon conditions.
