Toronto If you’ve ever dismissed adventure race events as being “too extreme” to be associated with triathlon, you may be surprised to learn how closely related these two sports have become....

International Canadian Marathoners Should Run the Houston Marathon!

Just last week I had the privilege to be invited back to race the Chevron Houston Marathon. Of all the marathons available to me, why did I choose Houston?

The reasons are many....

Nicole works full-time in Pharmaceutical sales and is an Adidas-sponsored Elite Marathoner.

Boston Improvement will have positive effects on participants and residents
in the Town of Hopkinton; entire race will be more efficient.

Also, a minor change in course near race's finish will allow pedestrian and
vehicular traffic on Massachusetts Avenue to pass above while race is in
progress.

Note: Media: For further information, please contact Jack Fleming (B.A.A. Director
of Communications)
at 617-236-1652 ext. 2627 or 617-694-8218 (mobile).

Florida Disney thought only a select few were crazy enough, like me, to enter the goofy challenge but were in for a big surprise.
Note: Ed. Note - History will record that the first true event to recognize and experiment such madness would be the National Capital Race Weekend in Ottawa.

In 2002, yours truly created the "Triple Crown" of endurance, which included running the 10km Saturday evening at 7pm, skating the in-line marathon at 6:50 am Sunday morning, and then completing the 1/2 marathon run soon thereafter. Peter Donato was rewarded with free race entries in the subsequent 2 years, thus establishing a three-peat performance between 2002,2003,2004.

History will also record that the 2003 race times of 34:13 in the 10km, 1:44 in the in-line marathon and 1:26:56 in the 1/2 marathon run may never again be equalled.
